The Australasian Team Roping Association is a not-for-profit member based association with all profits going back into development of the sport of Team Roping. No matter what level of the sport you are in, the ATRA has a place for you to rope. The ATRA provides each roper with an opportunity to compete at a level suitable to their ability and that is made possible because of EQUALITY IN COMPETITION.

The ATRA offers family entertainment at the highest level, the camaraderie and sportsmanship at team roping events is unparalleled by any other sport.

National Points have begun accumulating again from the 1st of January 2021. National Buckles will be awarded on points accumulated between 1/7/2019 – 20/3/2020 (when we shut down due to covid) and 1/1/2021 – 30/6/2021, totaling 15 months worth of events.

The Finals will be open to all full financial Members as there are regions that have not had a chance to run many jackpots due to Covid.

Rope and Tie and Steer Wrestling will be run for the first time at the 2021 finals.

From the 1st July 2021 the 7 & Under Barrel Race will be split into 2 separate divisions, led and unled thus making for a fairer competition for these children.

From the 1st July 2021 ropings will revert to #6, #7, #9, #11, #13 and Opens,  we believe it will make for fairer competition across the ropings . The 2021 finals will be run under the current format of #6, #8, #10, #12 and Opens.

A new Clinic/School and Training/Development Day event membership has been created – being  $20 per Senior and $10 Per Junior. We also offer a Family Clinic/School and Training/Development Day Membership of $50 for immediate family members. This membership is for non – members as anyone that is already an ATRA member does not need to pay event membership
